As the electrode of the upper and lower interlayer is changed into field-effect tube electrode and ordinary electrode, when the field-effect tube electrode is opened, the performance of the liquid crystal molecule changes. Through shadow and light transmission, the Response Time is greatly increased to about 80ms, which has higher contrast and rich color than TN-LCD, and the screen update frequency is faster, so TFT is commonly known as "true color",

Compared with DSTN, the main feature of TFT-LCD is to configure a semiconductor switch for each pixel. Because each pixel can be directly controlled by a point pulse. Therefore, each node is relatively independent and can be controlled continuously. This design method not only improves the response speed of the display, but also accurately controls the gray level of the display, which is the reason why TFT is more realistic than DSTN.
