What are IPS?

It is well known that IPS is a screen technology, known as IPS(In Plane Switching), which is one of the most widely used Switching technologies for LCD (Liquid crystal Display), but its definition is a pattern, a Switching mode for liquid crystal displays (LCD). In fact, like VA wide-field technology, IPS (In Plane Switching) model wide perspective of technology is also In the liquid crystal molecules on its long axis orientation, the difference is technology In the view of the wide application of IPS LCD display at any time to observer can only see the short axis of the liquid crystal molecules, so on the different angles to watch the picture will not have too big difference, this is perfect to improve the visual Angle of LCD.

IPS and VA

One fundamental difference between IPS and VA is that liquid crystals are arranged in different patterns. VA panel is mainly amorphous silicon TFT Lcd Panel, while IPS is low temperature polycrystalline silicon Tft Lcd panel. The limit of amorphous silicon TFT LCD panel can only reach 200-300PPI generally, while low temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT LCD panel can easily have a high Resolution of more than 300PPI. That is why the IPS has won the VA so far. Currently, there are mainly PVA, MVA, and AMVA (Advanced MVA) in the VA mode, which shall be further discussed. What should be noted is the VA mode, which has a full name of Vertical Alignment, and the "VA" differs from the "VA" in AHVA.
